NARC - Nacogdoches Amateur Radio Club

The Nacogdoches Amateur Radio Club (NARC) discusses/works with HF bands/DX’ing, VHF/UHF repeaters, 802.11 wi-fi, VHF sideband, APRS (Automatic Position Reporting System), digital communications and other modes on the designated FCC Amateur Radio frequencies. The club also owns and operates the echolink WX-TALK conference server which is used during severe weather events in east Texas and also as the official echolink liaison station for the National Hurricane Center. In addition, the club also participates in events such as ARRL Field Day, the Texas QSO Party as well as local bike races, walk-a-thons, parade monitoring, etc…

NARC has a very good relationship with the City of Nacogdoches and Nacogdoches County officials and has a position in the local Emergency Operations Center (EOC) when activated in times of need.

Monthly club meetings allow us to discuss club operations, events, and learn from each other about the many aspects of Amateur Radio.
