147.320 / 141.3 PL
The 147.32 repeater is a Motorola mobile converted to a repeater, and operates with a 141.3 tone. This repeater was built and installed in 1999. The radio was converted by Matt Bush, KA9RIX of St. Petersburg, Florida. Repeater integration by AE5P. It uses a CAT-1000 controller with digital voice recorder. It includes a frequency agile 2 meter remote base, and a frequency agile 70cM remote base as well. The duplexer is a TX-RX, and the antenna is a DB-224E. The antenna is at the 269 foot top level of the County's tower, along with repeaters for the City FD, County Sheriff's Office, County VFD's, and County Road and Bridge Dept. The repeater is backed up by a very large battery as well as a diesel generator on site.
444.050 / 141.3 PL
The 444.050 repeater is a General Electric Mastr II repeater station, rated for 100 watts continuous output. It also operates with a 141.3 tone. This repeater was built and installed in 2004. The radio was converted to Amateur use by AE5P. It uses a CAT-250B controller and a TX-RX duplexer. The antenna is a DB-408B 300 feet above ground on the City of Nacogdoches tower. It is backed up by the propane generator on site.
146.840 / 141.3 PL
The 146.84 repeater is a Motorola MSR-2000, originally in service with the Ontario Provincial Police in Canada. It also operates with a 141.3 tone. This repeater was built and installed in 2004. The radio was converted to Amateur use by AE5P. It uses a CAT-700 controller and a TX-RX duplexer. The antenna is a DB-224E located 300 feet above ground on the City of Nacogdoches tower. It is backed up by the propane generator on site. This new repeater replaces the radio at Medical Center Hospital that provided many years of faithful service to East Texas.
